Fantasy Flight Games’ Warhammer 40K Forbidden Stars Now Available

It is finally here and available for all you fans of the Warhammer 40K universe. Forbidden Stars is a board game from Fantasy Flight Games for 2-4 players.
It is best described as:
"In this game of interplanetary warfare, two to four players battle to claim the once lost Herakon Cluster at any cost. Over the course of the game, you and your opponents will occupy unclaimed worlds, build up your forces, expand your strategic options, and clash in ferocious, relentless battles. You have eight rounds to seize glorious victory by retrieving your faction’s objectives, or witness your forces perish valiantly in the attempt."
In this game you will use resources and pre-planning strategies to out wit your opponents. If you want a break from a miniatures battle for the evening and a change of pace you might want to look in 0n this one. There is a card mechanic used during battles, that can turn horrendously wrong and a certain victory can rapidly decay into defeat. This is a must for any collector of the 40K universe.
Can you reclaim the Herakon Cluster?

looks like an interesting game, anyone tried it out yet ? 🙂
… I saw it in my local games shop the other day, but the price is a bit rich for my wallet right now 😛
Would be interesting to know how it plays, though the gameboard itself looks a bit bland imo .. im sure it fills its purpose
4X light in the Warhammer universe… sounds nice.
But the last years I was rather disappointed with the course FFG took. Very conservative game design, heavy emphasis on licensed games and tons of reskins of the same games.
This certainly looks interesting. It would definitely be worth checking out.
