September 10, 2021 by fcostin
Gen Con '21, is going to be happening next week, and it is fast approaching. Kicking off on the 15th of September, Fantasy Flight Games are getting ready and prepped to show off what's new and upcoming at the show. From Wednesday to Saturday, Fantasy Flight Games will be utilising FF: Live for those not attending, in the comforts of their own home.

Whether you are looking to get the newest information on the upcoming board game, Unfathomable set in the gothic universe of Arkham Horror or you are keen on hearing about the next steps for Journeys into Middle-Earth, one thing is for sure - Fantasy Flight have you covered.
If you are headed out to the event, Fantasy Flight have lots for attendees too with their pop-up booth.

Covering all angles, demoing, learn-to-plays and event tables are going to be live and changing throughout the day. Including a special Gen Con scenario for Arkham Horror on the first day.
For more information for the remainder of the event, be sure to head over to the Fantasy Flight Games announcement for their full timetable over the course of Gen Con.
It is really interesting to see the hybrid of events start to form, due to the restrictions that have been in place over the past year or so. With a year's worth of online shows and now returning back to normality, having a combination of live content and in-show coverage is a fantastic way to keep all fans worldwide in the loop. To ensure nobody is missing out!
Publishers who are attending Gen Con this year are gradually releasing more information regarding their attendance. Wyrd has already got a headstart by releasing all of the exclusive goodies which will be held and coveted over at their booth. But, one thing's for sure - Gen Con is certainly going to be a powerhouse of a show, with tabletop giants coming far and wide from across the globe to showcase the newest and hottest products in our industry.
What are you looking forward to seeing at Gen Con '21?

no Star Wars 🙁
That’s all atomic mass games now isn’t it?
Legion, Armada and X-Wing: yes. Outer Rim, Rebellion and Imperial Assault: no. (There are even more board- and cardgames at FFG but most of them are discontinued)
I have both Rebellion and Rogue One. Don’t expect anything else for that.
Imperial Assault has been described as ‘Complete’ by FFG, so that’s it I believe.
Outer Rim was a one shot game I assumed.
As you say, most of other SW stuff has been discontinued. SW: LCG game killed years ago along with the crappy looking Destiny dice game.
I get feeling FFG given up on SW and leaving the rest to AMG.
interesting.
they have to make and ship actual games now ?
will they get the industry reward for the most amount of tokens per game ?
This seems rather limited considering where FFG were just a few years ago.
