Fantasy Flight Bring a Little Wisdom and Warfare to Civilization
May 14, 2013 by dracs
Fantasy Flight have announced an expansion for the board game of Sid Meier's Civilization, bringing whole new ways to raise your nation to greatness through the paths of Wisdom and Warfare.
This expansion brings with it new cards and options to include in your games, allowing you to use new tactics and introducing more aspects of the game to bear in mind in your rise to power.
As the name Wisdom and Warfare would suggest the expansion brings new ways to engage in both. For warfare there are new optional unit cards.
These give units new Strength and Health values, both of which need to be taken into consideration when engaging in warfare.
There is also the option for you to take on new Social Policies.
These will affect the tactics and strategies you use as well as the general style of play you choose to follow.
Top these off with new city actions, techs and culture cards and you will have plenty to keep your games of Civilization interesting.
Do any of you play this board game? How does it compare to the original video games?

I spent so much time on my Amiga 600HD (Hard Drive baby!!!!) playing Civilization and football manager games instead of studying for my college exams!! I hope it is a game with a huge play time to it, maybe a day or two would be good. But I would not expect this to happen.
Look forward to its release!1 😀
Great board game that is almost better than the computer version. Haven’t played any of the expansions but they look to have the same neat flare as other FFG products. I played the original game (tabletop) last weekend with friends and it was an intense one!
I got nuked!
