Keep An Eye Out For Sovereign Skies In 2019

While the game is a long way off the name and simple premise behind it certainly caught my attention. Deep Water Games are going to bringing their project, Sovereign Skies, to the tabletop in 2019.

This two-to-four player game certainly sounds interesting...

"On the edge of space, a system of colonized planets strives to form a new democracy. Occupy colonies and recruit politicians to gain influence and power for your faction in this epic rondel strategy game."

While that's not a lot to go on right now it does sound like it could fill that diplomatic gap in the genre that I've been wanting. Mechanically it ticks a lot of boxes including Area Control and Set Collection, so if they can bring this together into a neat concept then I'm on board for looking at it more.

Plus, who doesn't like a rondel?
