Explore The American Wilderness In PARKS From Keymaster Games
February 6, 2019 by brennon
Keymaster Games are on Kickstarter right now with a game that immediately captured my imagination. I love walking and nature so PARKS: The Board Game seems like it might be right up my street.
In PARKS you will play as two hikers travelling the different trails of the American National Parks across the four seasons of the year. You'll be looking to collect memories based on the sites that you've visited and mementoes of your travels. This isn't about survival but you'll need to look after your equipment and fill your canteens to keep supplies up to scratch, making your hikes more efficient.
At the end of the year the cards you have collected, photos you've taken and mementoes you've enjoyed will be the signifier of who wins the game.
The game features some absolutely wonderful components and artwork which comes from the Fifty-Nine Parks Print Series. In addition, the team behind the game are on a little endeavour to help the National Parks of America, as annual donations will be made during the entire life cycle of PARKS.
Be Bold Games has put together a video talking about how to play the game below...
There are additional rules for solo-play included where it becomes a race against time and the game itself.
If anyone has played Tokaido this very much seems like it fits that vibe!
