WizKids have expanded their options for those diving into Dungeons & Dragons: Onslaught. There are two expansion sets coming up for those looking to play as the Harpers or the Zhentarium in this board-based miniatures skirmish game.

Harpers Expansion - Dungeons & Dragons Onslaught

Harpers Expansion // Dungeons & Dragons: Onslaught

The first of these sets comes with some new characters for you to consider using when playing as the Harpers. You get all of the bits and pieces that you need to run these new heroes in your games with tokens, cards and the like. Your characters include the likes of a Fire Genasi Cleric, a Halfling Sorcerer, an Aarakocra Monk and finally, a Locathah Rogue.

The set also comes with the miniatures (above) that are prepainted and ready for you to add into your games. The prepaints have got a little better than past iterations of the range but I think they would still benefit from a was over the top. I think that would bring out some of the detail and add some depth to the piece as a whole.

On the other side of the coin, we have the Zhentarim who are looking to stake their own claim on some riches from their adventuring in Dungeons & Dragons: Onslaught.

Once again, the set comes with a bunch of bits and bobs which are handy for gameplay plus you get four more heroes for you to bulk out the Zhentarim forces.

Get up close and personal with a Hobgoblin Cleric, a Dwarf Barbarian and a Goliath Fighter who are eager to crush you in melee combat. You've then got a Human Bard to help you out from the shadows, flinging spells and whispers into the minds of your enemies. Again, get a wash on those miniatures!

Dungeons & Dragons: Onslaught does seem like a good game from what folks have said from demo games and the like. It does seem a little expensive to get into but I could see this being fun for D&D players looking to get more from the Forgotten Realms.

Will you be getting these new expansion sets?
