EXIT Games have been an awesome alternative to add in during games night. They play out in one to two hours and can really get the group working together before moving on to something that places players sitting and immersed on the tabletop.

There has been a new EXIT game confirmed by Thames & Kosmos, placing players back in the will release EXIT: The Return to the Abandoned Cabin, to the English-speaking market this June. Although if you speak German, you may have seen this one on your shelves near the back-end of last year.

The Return to the Abandoned Cabin - Thames and Kosmos

The Return to the Abandoned Cabin // Thames and Kosmos

The upcoming title is taking players back to the Abandoned Cabin which they have been stuck in once before. The insane Dr Funbeq has escaped from prison, and it is up to players to return to the scene of the crime to track down his location and find his whereabouts. In a series of puzzles, riddles and deduction in the comforts of your own home.

Inside the Box - The Return to the Abandoned Cabin

Inside the Box // The Return to the Abandoned Cabin

The Abandoned Cabin is one I played myself from the EXIT game series. I had a lot of fun stuck with my four friends in a horror cabin, attempting codes and puzzles to escape the barred up room. It bought a lot of laughs to my "living room", so if you have not tried an EXIT game before, and want to get started somewhere: the precursor to this release is for 1-6 players, can take anywhere between 1-2 hours and kids from 12+ can join in - it's a great place to dive in.

Taking the player count down from the previous title, 1-4 players age 12+ Return to the Abandoned Cabin for a second insight into Dr. Funbeq's insanity.

What have been your favourite EXIT titles to play at home?
