Exclusive Look At New Battlezone Industrial Terrain & New Mantic Podcast!
March 18, 2015 by brennon
Mantic Games have sent over some really cool renders showing off some of the new components that are going to be part of the Industrial Battlezone Terrain coming soon. As well as that the tantalising scent of Deadzone is in the air on their new Podcast as the new Kickstarter launches Friday 20th March at 1:30pm GMT...
First up we have a look at two of the most standout pieces from the pile of renders we were sent. Above you can see a computer console, a perfect objective for you to focus on, and a big pump station that once again would certainly work as an objective. With the coming of the Veer-Myn to Deadzone via Kickstarter you can imagine them poisoning the water supplies of settlements by tampering with this.
As well as those bits of free standing terrain you also have these new panels that you'll no doubt see bolted on to a massive tower that Warren makes. I could see him making some rather neat power relay tower with that panel at the top. Maybe Justin could make another burger shack wafting the smell of frying Veer-Myn down the street with those fans too?
There will also be a few more extra bits it seems like the addition of these pipes that come in both a corroded and un-corroded state. I could see a really cool board coming together where you lay a bit length of pipe across the tabletop and its up to the Corporation to stop the Rebs from tampering with them, setting bombs and the like, as they scour the board.
Podcast Time & Ronnie Speaks!
As well as the neat renders above they've also got another Podcast for you to listen to over on the Mantic Blog. In in they talk about the new DreadBall content coming your way, a bit on Deadzone, and more on Hobby Time which is Ronnie's baby at Mantic Towers.
Ronnie has also put together a Blog Post talking about why they've decided to do this Kickstarter and effectively its to make sure they have more factions to play as in Deadzone!
New scenery, new factions, tweaking the rules, cleaning up the selection system - all of this will become part of the effect going into this next Deadzone push.
Of course this all leads into more stuff for Warpath too. Find out more by checking out his blog post linked above.
Head on over and give it a listen!

Those are awesome, I seem to remember Ronnie and Jake mentioning / hinting at them during one of their seminars at the winter Mantic open day last year…..I’ll definitely be picking up some of those for Dead Zone!
Saw some of the prototypes at the open day, super excited to buy the crap out of these!
Deadzone is at the top of my list of games I should be playing more frequently. Easy to Learn, quick to play, low overhead. Great models and Terrain.
I think Mantic has only begun to take my money.
I forget how often we asked for these at the time of the original KS. Better late than never, eh?
It’s a good sign 🙂 . Proves they’re listening to what gamers want.
Hope the new pieces will make possible to build these buildings ^^

These designs look fantastic and are just what I need to give my boards a real industrial feel. Some pieces would do well in a steampunk or modern setting as well.
I need them, simples 🙂
Let’s see if they can lure some cash out of me before Salute
I am going to throw so much money at this!! Brilliant stuff.
I’ve been getting into Infinity, which requires a LOT of terrain. I’m seriously considering getting some Deadzone terrain for my table.
I need to consider adding some of these to my pieces of terrain:

Amazing kickstarter. You can the entire game, with a rulebook, miniatures, mat, and terrain for $113! That’s not including the stretch goals… and Mantic’s products are getting better all the time. Totally blowing away the competition.
