Wave 1 Sets Join Masters Of The Universe: Battleground

Archon Studio is moving towards releasing Wave One of their Masters Of The Universe: Battleground collection. If you picked up the core game and wanted more heroes and villains to play as then now you can get four more characters!

This new set introduces the evil ghost known as Scareglow, threatening to send everyone fleeing in a state of terror. Roaring into the fighting, we also have the wild and snarling Beast Man who looks ready to clobber someone. In addition to the new characters, we also have new teleportation portals which can be used to move people around the board.

The second of the sets focuses on the Masters Of The Universe rather than the villainous forces under the dominion of Skeletor. This set comes with the mighty spellcaster, Sorceress and also the warrior goddess known as Teela.

Your heroes are going to be gaining all manner of magical abilities with which to thwart the minions of Skeletor. As well as the miniatures themselves, you are also going to get some new spells to drop onto the tabletop and forcefields which can be set up in different portions of the arena.

It should be noted that these new boxed sets are going to only be available in select European countries. These expansions are going to be shipped out to folks throughout July and August, offering up new ways to play through the Battleground game.

If you're not aware of Battleground, this is a straight-up versus clash between players who take control of the Masters Of The Universe and the minions of Skeletor. This is a proper royal rumble clash where you get to see these larger-than-life characters kicking ass!
