Elathain’s Soulraid Comes To Warhammer Underworlds This Week
June 1, 2021 by brennon
Elathain's Soulraid is one of the last warbands coming to Games Workshop's Warhammer Underworlds and the current wave of Direchasm releases. This time around you get to play as the Idoneth Deepkin as they seek to drag souls down into their watery domain.

This new set offers up an array of fun new characters for you to play as that really hit all those Idoneth Deepkin notes. At the head of this force, you've got Elathain himself who is ready to capture foolish strays and cut them down with that deadly sickle.
In terms of the other Aelves, you've also got Tammael and Fuirann who step in to support their leader. Their focus seems to be on being quick and deadly, rushing in and doing what damage they need to without too much hurt to themselves.
The real fun comes with those two animals! You have the Spinefin which doesn't get set up at the start and could be used as a harasser no doubt. You've then also got the most amazing model, Duinclaw! That crab is looking awesome and I can see a lot of people having fun painting him up.
Another great looking warband which gives us a snapshot of the Idoneth Deepkin. I still think Warhammer Underworlds is a great way to experience Age Of Sigmar. It's self-contained if you want it to be, you only need to paint a handful of miniatures, and the games are quick. Add in the deck-building mechanics and I think Games Workshop nailed it with this one.
I am very tempted to dive back in once the new set is revealed! I reckon it'll have some Kruleboyz in it!

Crab!
Loving Mr Crab & Albert(The Dreamstone reference)
Really like that warband, I also quite like the bases.
Crab people crab people.
Those do look nice.
They look fabulous and will be great for Nemo game’s.
I have absolutely no interest in AoS at all, and yet these Deepkin keep tempting me to take a closer look. No GW! Bad puppy! No biscuit!
I’m still not a fan of the sea elf models in this box set, but I REALLY want that crab!
