Elathain’s Soulraid Ventures Into Warhammer Underworlds
May 7, 2021 by brennon
Elathain's Soulraid is the final warband available as part of the latest cycle for Warhammer Underworlds by Games Workshop. Direchasm will play host to the Idoneth Deepkin as they look to reap souls and return them to their watery domain.

This set comes with a selection of representatives from the Idoneth Deepkin army. You've got a Namarti Thrall, one of the Akhelian Guard and then an Isharann Soulrender (seemingly) at the centre of this raid, with Elathain. Each of them is armed with cruel weapons that are used for hunting down their enemies and dragging them away.

You'll also note that these Idoneth Deepkin are joined by representatives from the oceans of The Mortal Realms too. Wherever the Idoneth Deepkin go, they bring the Aethersea with them which allows them to use monstrous sea creatures on the battlefield. Here we have a toothy fish and a crab! Who doesn't like a battle crab? Maybe he has a weak point you can hit for massive damage?
This will be the final set of miniature for the Direchasm wave so it won't be long before we get to see what's next for the unfolding story in Warhammer Underworlds.
Are you liking the look of Elathain's Soulraid?

The leader and the fish and crab are really awesome.
Ooh nice love the sea life.
Ah fish elves. Those do look nice.
I’m not the biggest fan of the Idoneth (or elves in general), but I love the crab!
I still have no idea what the difference between this and Warcry is?
Warcry is a skirmish wargame that plays out in a campaign fashion – much like Necromunda or Mordheim from the old times.
Warhammer Underworlds is a warband-based board game with miniatures on a hex-grid + card decks which you tailor yourself. So, it’s quicker and self-contained. It doesn’t need terrain, just your warband box, card deck and a couple of boards.
ahhh right, so Underworlds is pick up and play, Warcry bit more of a ongoing thing with the same minis / characters.
Thanks for that!
Ahhh I just got misty eyed thinking about Mordheim there!
