Eagle-Gryphon Bring Tom Lehmann’s The City To Kickstarter

Eagle-Gryphon Games have taken to Kickstarter to fund a new English Edition of Tom Lehmann's The City.

The City is a quick and easy simultaneous play card game where you are looking to build the greatest city you can, working out combinations in order to score fifty victory points and achieve victory.

There have been a few improvements thrown in with this new English Edition of the game with new cards, a few tweaks to a number of cards to make them more balanced and the addition of chips to make sure that you know who has scored victory points!

The game looks very 'Euro' in its design and approach with minimalistic artwork which gives you a sense of the city growing around you without being too loud. I like it, but then I really liked the aesthetic of the old Suburbia too!

That's not to say I don't like flashy artwork, but sometimes simple can be good too. A draft version of the rulebook can be found HERE for those interested in learning more about how to play the game.
