DreadBall Ultimate Hits Out With Four New Teams
September 6, 2013 by brennon
If you've ever been interested in DreadBall then this next epic release from them will probably have you itching to head down to the neon pitch to smack some fools around. See what you think of Ultimate from Mantic below...
The Ultimate Season Three set comes with a mega pitch allowing more teams to clash and also brings you a whole bunch of giant MVPs too. Each of those players is deserving of an epic team to play for and here they are below.
As you can see there are a whole bunch of epic models to pick up for DreadBall and it's just expanding at an alarming rate. The Nameless, Zee, Asterians and Teraton are look ace and it also bodes well for their appearance in the world of Warpath too.
All of these are up for Advance Order so go check out what else is on offer!
Which team will you be playing for?

Despite each team being a plastic miniature set, all seem to have a better transfer policy than Man Utd! 😉
Teratons will be first onto my painting table. They may not be the strongest team in the game but TELEPORTING MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!
Aaaaan just as I’m typing that [points up] the invoice arrives for all the extras I ordered from Dreadball’s Season 3 Kickstarter. It’s coming!
These are all very nice looking teams.
Asterians are ugly, the rest is just meh.
what a disapointment Dreadball is turning out to be…
Looking forward to trying out the Zee’s!!!
It looks like most teams have only 3 models repeated. Is this to keep the roles easy to pick out from a glance?
I don’t know … but they are still hard to tell apart for most teams, and I’m not sure the rules are “ready” for 3 hex monsters. It’s already completely unbalanced as it is.
What i do to if things arent to clear wich model is wich. Hazard striping on the side of the base in the threadzone.
Red for guards, yellow for jacks and green for strikers
Alternative poses are on the way – for the Season 1 teams at the very least .
AFAIK, they have some alternate poses planned for the future (some are included in the KS, but not out yet). They’re shipping out 12 teams, plus a bunch of MVPs, coaches, cheerleaders, giants – the base game plus 2 expansions – in less than a year (that’s over 50 sculpts). I’m more forgiving of just a few poses with that kind of release schedule, myself. Not bad for a board game. I haven’t been having any trouble with the positions, myself. Not only are they in different poses, but they are in different armor (or are different creatures). Perhaps the… Read more »
its one thing i thought would be good for the bot’s team, if they had had plastic inserts to plug in to the backs of the minis where the player numbers go, in 3 colors that you could swap out as the players change position.
I’m planning on a magnet in each base and numbered metal discs
Haven’t played this but those Zerg/C’thulu hybrids looks sick.
Cant see enough in these pics to make my mind up. I just hope they are better molds and clean up than the season 2 stuff.
I have all of these coming… I need a bigger house 🙁
