James’ hair is back!
One day the videos will catch up with real life!
Damnit! This game just looks like fun. I don’t need more games to play.
Shouldn’t Warren’s failure to catch the ball at 15:35ish have ended his turn?
It probably should have, yes! Just goes to show how easy it is to miss things mid-game.
i thought that was a rebound from launching the ball there for shouldnt of ended his turn??
Yes. Failing to catch a “launching” ball ends the turn. These guys were lucky actually. They were Strikers and do have 1 dice to try.
If the same thing happens to a Jack, you get 0 dice to “catch”, automatically fail and lose your turn.
Really interesting and amusing vid, enjoyed it. Thanks!
So far I’m resisting temptation. Don’t know if I can hold out for long.
Excellent stuff! Just bought the game plus v2 rules and the four extra teams on the strength of these two vids. Now need to find an opponent to massacre (but will probably be the other way round!)
Good vid! I’ve got my copy of DB on the way with 2 MVPs
most enjoyable must get down and get a game of dreadball against warren soon 😉 @warzan
Nice video guys. Thinking of going with the Forge Fathers or Orcs as my main team of destruction. 🙂
Now forge fathers against orks would be a good match to watch. There would be a few casualties in that match.
@redshane have played that game, it’s not good for the Orx, the Forgefathers can take the beating that the Guards throw out and keep their feet while the Orx get flattened when it comes to the returning blows 🙂

Not always, me and my friend played a game with Orx and FF since I had them built first. My friend has never rolled so many six’s in his life, even on 3+ with my guard he tippled my score and killed my FF guard with 6 wounds. But there will by a grudge match to retain my dwarf honor.
I have picked up some new ideas and hints from watching both of the Academy videos so far. Its obvious that Warren & James are having a bloody good laugh and after all, that is the essence of gaming – it may make you think hard but you get to enjoy yourself a lot doing it. I backed Dreadball to the hilt in the KS and now backing Deadzone – there are some similarities that Warren hit upon, namely that the ruleset does not get in the way of enjoying the game.
