Prove You Are The Dovahkiin As RISK Heads To Skyrim

Another RISK option is hitting the tabletop which has you venturing into the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
You will take control of the various factions vying for control of this northern realm. You take on the role of the Thalmor, Forsworn, Orcs, Imperials and the Stormcloaks in a struggle for control of the region whilst also dealing with dragons stomping across the land.
RISK is RISK so take things with a pinch of salt when it comes to this game but it looks like they have thrown a whole bunch of different options into the mix here which pushes the Skyrim theme. As well as magical weapons and spells you also have access to the powers of the Dovahkiin too.
I think there's a really good game to be created when it comes to Skyrim. You could do something similar to the old Conan board game where the Dovahkiin is an entity that isn't controlled by anyone, doing his/her own thing as they adventure around the map. Meanwhile, the different factions are still struggling for control in the background as big battles rock the lands.
Maybe this version of RISK will offer that up, we shall see.
Are you going to be picking this up?

Na, already got RISK and a higher number of hours into Skyrim on PC that I’m willing to admit….
So … do you win by shouting ‘Fus roh da!’ and blowing the pieces of the board ?
Or does one actually need to play the game ?
You can do that yeah, it’s the secret variant rule
never played skyrim so may be worth a look.
I definitely recommend Skyrim, but I’ve been an Elder Scrolls fan since Morrowind.
I can’t really recommend Risk, but I haven’t been following the variant Risks. If it is just a re-skinning, it’ll be terrible, but with a LOT of rules changes, I suppose Risk could turn into a decent game.
I like Skyrim, but I’m not really keen on a new kind of Risk.
Now, if there were an Elder Scrolls themed edition of Blood Rage, I’d be all over that.
