Use Technology To Dominate Sphere City In Free Radicals
January 10, 2022 by fcostin
WizKids have announced their first board game title of the year, taking players to Sphere City as they battle it out as one of ten factions pushing for freedom and power in the upcoming title, Free Radicals.
Free Radicals // WizKids
Set in the distant future of bright and blinding LEDs and advanced technology, ten factions are rising up to shape and mould the coming days of Sphere City. 2-5 layers must assume the role of their chosen faction and compete in conflict to meet the goals and objectives provided in-game.
However, it is not all cut and dry as destroying your opponents and running into the distance with all that money and power. Players will need to work with their foes, whilst balancing their own goals to achieve. This means assisting, and earning favours whilst hoping to still rack in the most points yourself. It is quite the balancing act! Players will need to work with strategy in mind, providing them enough power to propel forward whilst helping opponent's and simultaneously leaving them in the dust due to your ridiculous income knowledge in influence.
Game Preview // Free Radicals
Depending what faction players choose, each individual group differs in mechanics, goals and general morals with bespoke challenges, cards, missions and objectives depending whose side you are on. With hope to level up abilities in-faction and rack up the most victory points by the end of the game.
The game is quite a short one, so you do not need to set yourself aside hours upon hours to play in Sphere City, taking roughly 30+ minutes to play through. Inviting ages 14+ to get involved in the race for knowledge and influencer over the technologically advanced city. All ready for release next month, in February 2022.
Do you think you have what it takes to dominate over Sphere City?
