Use Dexterity To Sabotage Enemy Ships In Fire In The Hole

Quite often, I will have a younger audience join our party for games night. Whether that be a friend bringing over their kiddies, or a niece or two are joining in on the tabletop festivities.

Dexterity games are always a fan favourite when it comes to having kids on the tabletop in my house. Whether that be flicking penguins across hallways in Ice Cool, laying kingdoms to rest in Catapult Feud or flicking our way through cooperative dungeons in Catacombs.
There is a new dexterity game that will have 2-4 players or teams giggling at the table, with Fire in the Hole. Utilizing a finger on the cannon and some stabby mechanics by implementing cards into the mix - players will aim for victory by aiming their cannonballs with finesse.
During a turn, players will be able to choose from two different cards with a chance to Fire at the opponent or Sabotage ahead. In the instance of "Fire", at the throw of the dice, players will be informed whether they are firing on their own solo, or whether both parties take a hit. However, if players were to sabotage, they have the chance to play some cruel and infuriating tricks on their opponents. To win the game, players will need to get four cannonballs in a row on their decks to be crowned the champion.

The game is centred around a mahoosive biodegradable pop-up ship - containing all plastic-free parts and completely biodegradable and carbon neutral, which is lovely to see from a sea-focussed title!
There are many different pledges and goodies to tap into the campaign. Whether that be surfing the latest unlocked Stretch Goals and Actions, digging into the development process, or taking a look at the Kickstarter expansion and other features the game has to offer. Pledges start from £22 for the retail edition of the base game, and up to £77 for the Captain Plus Edition including two copies of everything including the base game, expansion, stretch goals, extra games and so many more goodies.

Although I was quick to show our younger gamers who join Games Night the Kickstarter for Fire in the Hole, my adult attendee friends were just as excited by the concept. For their chance to compete in a loud deafening pirate manner, and the chance to add consequences to whoever loses! I already heard them talking about shot glasses where the cannonball is supposed to land...
There are 5 days left on the clock, and way past the initial goal! If you are looking at backing Fire in the Hole, you can expect to have your copy in September this year.
