Hexy Studio is up on Kickstarter with their eurogame worker placement title, Uluk. This showcases a civilisation of tribes central to life flourishing around the sacred Uluk tree. The land has been segregated and untouched by humankind and instead, we find a world populated with anthropomorphic life and bursting with potential.

One to four players will be ensuring the happiness of each individual tribe member is at its max and you will be taking on the roles of rivalling do-gooder leaders hoping to show their worth to the Gods.

Helping the workers feel fulfilled in their daily life of hunting, gathering and cooking food on the main board, players will be racking up points for activities over the course of six rounds. This may be to head out to gather ingredients, cook up a storm, or concoct some poisons to speed up the value of hunting.

Players can also take the time to reinvest in their tribe, helping the growth of workers by adding new inventions to further their day-to-day grind towards happiness. Their smiles come first remember! You might also be building monuments to prepare the lands for your bounty and players will also take time to pray to their Gods who have sway in the continuously changing fertility of the lands.

The player with the most points (and more importantly the happiest number of tribespeople) will be crowned as the arch leader of every tribe on the map. You will be rewarded for bringing the most joy and embracing some of that pure woodland serenity.

There are two expansions available on the Kickstarter campaign with the first adding two new card decks and troubles to contend with in Blessing And Wrath. The second brings a further two cards which are said to up the player interaction with Mystic Vision and Ancestral Wisdom.

There are two different pledges to tap into. You can snag yourself just the core game alone for roughly £39, or an all-in including the core game, Kickstarter exclusive monuments and both expansions  Both of these are ready to be fulfilled by May 2023. There are no stretch goals on the campaign and what you see is what you get with seventeen days left on the clock!
