It's always tempting to do some dodgy deeds if the Devil is whispering in your ear pushing for growth, or you may just be a bit dodgy yourself and need no egging on from the Prince of Darkness. Czech Games Edition is gearing up for their next release, heading to Spiel this October. With Deal With The Devil, a game of hidden roles in attempts to push power and corruption, in the app-assisted competitive eurogame.

Challenging four players to promote their own selfish needs, Matúš Kotry (creator of Alchemists), has returned with a new title that places players into a secret role where they will ultimately be playing on the same board. But undergoing different outcomes and motives due to their different goals to succeeding.

Whether they take the role of a mere mortal, a corrupted cultist, or the deceptive Satan himself. Each player will be meeting their own asymmetrical goals, as the Devil is hoping to tempt the weaker into some disaster-filled business, tempting good faith and morals for a cheeky bit of their soul. Of course, you can imagine the cultist has no issue with that to get to their insanity!

The strategy of the game is for the players to decide, whether they want to sell their souls to boost success early on or attempt to stay clean from the devil's temptations. Each game offers up different goals to proceed into per character that will thrust them into success, offering a new game strategy each time a player joins and being careful on output to give away any secrets to lurking evil dooers!

Making trades within the app - the only 'person' that will know who is taking their viscous job to the extreme will be the app. Hoping to keep motives secret and away from the opponent's gaze, keeping some dodgy dealings under wraps and out of the public eye to ensure that you're not attracting the likes of the Inquisition!

Placing choice and consequence into the players' hands. In a game of deceit, hiding away behind the player screen to outwit and outsmart opponents without openly communicating.

The app will be tracking actions as the title unfolds. Although I am not too keen on bringing my phone into games night, I do like the idea of everybody around the table being clueless about their winning efforts, but having to be extremely paranoid and suspicious to expect the worst. We are dealing with the devil I guess.

If you are headed over to Spiel this year, be sure to head over to the CGE booth for a whole host of new titles, plus this large one to stash back on the plane with you, including more information and details on Deal With The Devil.
