Sail Through Darwin’s Memories In Darwin’s Journey

There are quite a few games that I had my beady eye on Kickstarter last year that I regret not backing. The vast majority of board games head on over to retail anyway, so usually when there is that niggling feeling inside of me that I have missed out - chances are I will be waiting for the countdown for the release to retail.
One game I was particularly interested in last year was Darwin's Journey. As players relive Charles Darwin's memories of the Galapagos Islands, using worker-placement to research and learn about the nature residing, exploring opportunistic biodiversity.
Darwins Journey // Thundergryph Games
Darwin's theory of evolution, combined with a board game, Free? How does this play out? Sailing across the Pacific Ocean to discover the incredible, bustling environment of the Galapagos Island - home to many creatures coexisting in harmony. 1-4 players will put science at the forefront of their adventure, in a journey of discovery. Travelling across the islands, players will need to synthesize information gathered on the incredible walks of life - as told by the memories of Charles Darwin.

Players will need to explore and research to send the information back to civilisation, whilst being enamoured with the hidden species and fossils lurking amongst the rich natural atmosphere. Meeting several short and long term objectives, players will receive victory points to determine the winner over the course of five rounds. The discoveries that players find will be sent back to a museum to help the rest of humanity get up to scratch on the incredible adaptable living world hidden away on our planet.
If you are like me, and missed the successful Kickstarter campaign for Darwin's Journey, the game is now available to preorder on the ThunderGryph Games, for a later release this year.

I backed this one on Kickstarter, I went for the collectors edition with all the nice upgrades. Looking forward to this turning up but if you cant wait its on tabletop simulator.
I’ve also got the KS Collectors Edition to look forward to. Really complex game at first sight but so much re-playability built in and that’s before you add in the expansions.
