Darktide Comes To The Tabletop With New Miniatures Game
April 24, 2024 by brennon
Games Workshop has mentioned that they are going to be introducing Darktide to tabletop fans with a new miniatures game based on the mechanics for Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team. See if you can best the insurmountable foes swarming all around you in Tertium.

When you dive into Darktide: The Miniatures Game, you will be taking on the role of one of four characters based on the classes from the video game. You can be the Veteran, the Zealot, the Ogryn or the Psyker. Whichever way you seek to purge the heretic, you will have some neat options.
Darktide Characters // Warhammer 40,000
Darktide is going to be based on the rules of Kill Team but most likely a lot easier to get your head around. It is being sold as fast-paced which means they might have to take out some of the "quirkiness" of Kill Team. When you dive into the game, you'll be facing down Traitor Guardsmen and Poxwalker across a series of linked missions.
Darktide Enemies // Warhammer 40,000
The Traitor Guardsmen of the Moebian 6th come armed with lasguns and bayonets as well as grenade launchers and flamers. The Poxwalkers bring Nurgles plague and some rotten tools that they are simply going to use to smash your head in. Overall, there are twenty miniatures in the mix with enough to get you through an evening of gaming.
There is no word on when Darktide: The Miniatures Game is going to be made available but I can't see it being that far away. Are you a fan of Darktide?

I don’t play computer games (the last I completed was Quake 2) but a little tabletop shooter could be a laugh.
Depending on price obvs.
Yeah I am intrigued if it’s not too expensive – no desire to play proper Kill Team with all its widgets and shape-based mechanics but an easier version of it with a Darktide theme could be fun.
And there’s expansion potential. Could use all those nids I got for Quarantine 37.
If it’s $35 at Barnes and Noble like that last game, I’ll take one.
