Face some deadly foes in a new expansion for Mantic Games' Hellboy: The Board Game which is on sale right now. Darkness Calls as Hellboy and his companions must go up against the unquiet dead and bring down a fearsome villain.

Darkness Calls Expansion - Hellboy The Board Game

Darkness Calls Expansion // Hellboy: The Board Game

In Darkness Calls, you will be battling against the deadly Koshchei The Deathless and his shambling undead minions. If you're a big fan of painting your board game miniatures then I reckon these are going to be a lot of fun, especially if you can get them to look like the stylised Hellboy comics.

As you battle against Koshchei The Deathless you'll be aided by the daring new playable agent Henry Hood.

Henry Hood // Hellboy: The Board Game

Henry Hood isn't the nicest of companions to have by your side as he was responsible for the deaths of 260 women, be they witches or not. There are many accounts of his eventual fall but the one represented here is that he had his eyes burned out with cooper coins. What a nice way to go. Despite that, he will fight alongside Hellboy and friends in order to rid the land of evil spirits.

You will also be aided by the back-up agent, the Giant Wolf who will help you take down the likes of these Undead Minions.

It's always good to have more options and adventures for Hellboy to undertake and the miniatures look (as mentioned before) like they would be a lot of fun to paint. Mantic Games have always done a good job with their licenced games and Hellboy is no different.

Of course, once you're done with Darkness Calls you can then mix and match these miniatures with your other tabletop games and use them in adventures of your own creation for Hellboy itself.

Are you going to be picking up this expansion?
