Let’s Play: Dark Souls – The Board Game [Part Four]
September 18, 2017 by thisisazrael
Here we go with the grand finale of our Let's Play of Dark Souls: The Board Game from Steamforged Games. Az the Warrior, Jamie the Knight, and Alex the Herald continue their fight from Part Three.
In Part One the guys gave an introduction to the mechanics of the game, and in Part Two they faced off against their first main boss – The Dancer of the Boreal Valley.
Part Three was the start of a new game with everyone changing characters and the Assassin being replaced with a Herald, as they faced a new mini boss - The Winged Knight.
In this thrilling conclusion, the guys battle through increasingly more difficult enemies until reaching the hardest main boss yet - the infamous duo known as Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough!
Have you dared to face off against the Dragon Slayer and Executioner?

@thisisazrael was only just asking you about this yesterday, will be watching this evening with a spot of painting.
Good man yourself 😀 you’re still to show me your wash and pulling off technique… I’m not letting this go! 😛
Az
It might be tricky but I will try my best to film myself next time. 😀
XXX rated painting guys.tut tut tut
great play through again guys, we have not come up against this pair yet but that heat up was brutal. Look forward to the next one, gear up and get some sweet revenge!
Love these let’s plays. Challenge accepted, time for you guys to go grind through more rooms then take him on again.
This is definitely one of the most enjoyable series of games I have watched here. Great job. This game is on my wish list for sure.
I love the gallows humour in these videos. That heat up looked nasty. Ornstein just doesn’t look as threatening as Smough.
Ah, I’ve been waiting for another one of these. So frustrating in the end though. ^^
Facing and movement is irritating for me sometimes. How do bosses turn in on s.o. or not?
I guess this node model and the distances are not so intuitive for me.
And I much miss a feel for terrain like choke points, pits, galleries and special places.
I get what you’re saying @darnast . I guess that the chests, gravestones and barrels add a bit of ‘terrain’ tactics, although not too much.
Been waiting for this. Awesome let’s play as always. A bit anti climactic at the end, cause I spoilered my self by thinking “oh, 19 hp left on the boss and only 2 mins of video left, they probably not going to make it”. But Alex’s face when the 7 dmg magical attack comes up is just priceless.
Hope there will be a fifth part, in which you kick those two in the lower parts of their backs.
