Blackletter Games is now on Kickstarter with the reinvention of a classic board game. Damnation: The Gothic Game is a battle royale themed board game for two-to-six players which drops you into a horror-filled fight for survival.

Players will take control of one of six unique Victorian-era scoundrels who are exploring Dracula's Castle in search of power cards that will help them survive the night. If you'd like to see how the game plays then you can watch our Let's Play that we showed off earlier in the week!

The game is absolutely packed with amazing artwork representing the different characters, items, equipment and such that you'll experience during your time with the game.

The Kickstarter also does a pretty good job of running you through what all the different cards in the game do, especially for those new to Damnation. There are loads of fun things to do in the game and I think the twist on the battle royale formula works well here.

One of the neat elements of the game is that if you want to, you can even play as Dracula himself, rushing around the castle for a limited time, able to hunt down your foes and drag them into the darkness.

The timed mechanic here feels like a good shout and I like that it introduces a bit more risk and reward into the mix too. I hope that from seeing the different cards on display here that the artwork really is great. I think I'd get lost just looking at the card art, to be honest, trying to find all manner of hidden secrets.
