New Countdown To The Comic Book Campaign As Z War One Is On!
May 28, 2015 by deltagamegirl22
You might want to make a note on your calendar for June 1st. Seal off the doors and windows and check your weapons and rations - that's the day Z War One starts!
Z War One is an episodic, comic book campaign, miniature board game by Dice Wars. This game is taking the classic crawler scenario to the next level as it is driven by comic book narrative and will see expansions in "Issues" where a new comic is introduced along with the characters and cards required.
Working in this manner, the game captures the atmosphere of role playing and character development and brings it into the tangible, visual world of board games with miniatures.
This game offers a great variety of game play as well, as it can be enjoyed by 1-5 players through it's different modes. Though in it's deepest form, the game is meant to be enjoyed as a cooperative game- heroes verses zombies, the game can also be enjoyed in solo play.
The last mode of the game, may very well be the most interesting - Director Mode. In this mode, one player can explore their inner evil and play as the zombies, with all the brain-eating goodness fans of all things zombies have come to expect.
The project will bring forward the base game, Issue 1, as well as the first expansion, Issue 2:
The Kickstarter launches in just a few more days, so you only have a few more days to prepare.
Are you ready for Z War One?

hmm that sounds very interesting!
Faaaar too big heads….looks a little bit old-school tbh
Zombies look good, characters are just so-so, but another zombie game, really?
I like the comic themed idea and the zombies look good enough (far better out there though) but the characters look completely off and the game board itself looks terrible. Featureless and dull.
And they’re coming to Kickstarter at a time when several other boardgames are doing the RPG crawler mechanic with much nicer components.
