The Kickstarter For Mega Man Has Begun & It’s Funded!
December 13, 2013 by dracs
Many of us have been looking forward to the upcoming Mega Man Board Game and now it has hit. The Mega Man game has hit Kickstarter and has already burst through it's funding goal.
First up we should take a look at what you're going to be getting inside this Kickstarter bundle. There appears to be a whole bunch of very colourful tiles and cards along with some neat miniatures too!
And then of course there is the Deluxe Bundle which gets you a whole bunch more heroes and plenty more besides. It's quite the set it seems and I think a lot of Mega Man fans are going to be happy.
The game itself is meant to simulate the feel of a side-scrolling game from the era of Mega Man and they have been testing it extensively to make sure that happens.
You will be clearing rooms with between two to four players and taking on a boss room as the epic finale. It all sounds pretty fun and I think they seem to have retained the charm of Mega Man throughout.
I like that they are also including the painted figures as part of the stretch goal aim. Saying that considering the basic nature of the pieces it might not be too hard to do them yourself! Fun for non-painters though!
Will you be helping the Blue Bomber take on Dr Wily?

Not pledging until Megaman actually looks like Megaman .. hope they improve on it
Oh and US only, nvm then
Was interested but US only 🙁
Regional licensing is always a bitch.
Really disappointed that it is only within the US…. Nothing I can really add… 🙁
I’d like to see some actual game play. Plus, it seem pretty expensive given what you get for your money. 70 dollars for 9 miniatures 160 game cards, and 4 board tiles? To compare, I bought Mansions of Madness for 70 dollars and I got 32 miniatures, 15 map tiles, 350 cards, and more tokens then I would like to count.
I would asume that they have to plan for the long game mate. If they added everything initially then they wouldnt be able to put in stretch goals, so a comprise probably had to be made imho.
I found this to be rather…disappointing. The minis look rather “meh” to me…a lot of smooth surfaces and no real detail. And it isn’t a problem with the style, because Super Dungeon Explorer has a very similar style but still manages to hold some decent detail.
And the gameplay doesn’t really excite me at all. Looks like you just move Megaman around a circle and “fight” the bosses…just not for me.
I’ll stick with my Twelve Elements of War pledge.
Totally agree
For all the non-NA people looking to back this game, Jasco said they can ship to US military base addresses so if you have a friend who is a US serviceman living at a military base they may be able to help you.
No one can help you on KS because, no one can hear your screams!!! Hehe
No sign of Cutman! Quite a cult classic on the internet these days… I’m surprised he’s not featured there 😉
Also NA only? Ouch.
Actually, they previewed Cutman as a stretch goal earlier today. I think it was a stupid move to leave him and Gustsman out at first for phony stretch goals but they are on pace to get him in the game at least.
