Corvus Belli Unboxing First Look Copy Of Warcrow Adventures!
July 27, 2022 by brennon
Hoopoe of Corvus Belli is back with another Whispers Of Lindwurm video. This one is a little different though as instead of diving into the background and lore of Corvus Belli's new Fantasy world, they are doing an unboxing of the demo copy of Warcrow Adventures.
Warcrow Adventures First Unboxing // Corvus Belli
In this video, Hoopoe explores the different heroes that you're going to get to play as when you dive into Warcrow Adventures, at least when it comes to the demo game. That means exploring the components for the different characters, the monstrous foes you'll be facing and the dungeon tiles you'll be exploring.
Hoopoe also talks about how the app is integral to the game experience but it won't take away from your dice-chucking fun on the tabletop. Warcrow Adventures sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun and it's worth watching the other Whispers Of Lindwurm videos to find out more about the world.
Want to play the game? Well, Warcrow Adventures will be at Gen Con, Freak Wars, Essen SPIEL and finally at an event in Cordoba, Spain in mid-October.
Are you liking the look of Warcrow Adventures?

App required for gameplay?
Easy no for me.
A shame. CB makes great games and miniatures. I don’t mind apps that might enhance the experience for some, but I really don’t like screens required to play tabeltop games.
I used to think the same but I’ve played a few games with apps now and as long as they are integrated into gameplay, I’ve found them really good fun. Won’t be for everyone but I think they can be another fun tool.
Oh, I’m sure there’s fun to be had. It just doesn’t feel right to me.
I’d be happy to play if someone else gets it, but for my own collection I just don’t want tabletop games that require a screen.
“App is required to play” haha. Nope, thanks.
Looks good but I thought boardgames was to get people off the digital world so an app defeats the object of playing the board game in my opinion.
Given the mountain of Fantasy Games this should be up my ally, however it is a pass for me. The miniatures and aesthetics does not draw me in. I found it hard to get excited. The App doesn’t bother me but I see this as a gateway for micro transactions. I can see the value of being able to download fixes as they are found and reduces printing cost and weight to ship the product but we have yet to see how long software is supported by these publishers especially when the product money goes down. It is very easy… Read more »
The app doesn’t thrill me and I didn’t enjoy using the Imperial Assault one. However, very pragmatically CB have always struggled in putting together rulebooks in English. Yes they should work harder on this, but it is still a work in progress and is what it is. So having part of this in a medium that can easily be fixed has it’s advantages.
The bigger issue is the reliance on China for a lot of the peripherals.
They need to include a way to play without the App. If its optional, its fine. Otherwise I am out.
I may pick up one or two of the minis sometime down the line for other games, (its what I do with the Infinity miniatures), but I don’t think I’ll be playing the game (I don’t play Infinity either).
im also out if an app is required to play.
I have no issue if there as an app available that adds to the game/enhances or provides a different way to play. But its stupid if you MUST have an app to play. Why should i have to use another expensive bit of equipment to play the game when im already spending lots of money on the game?
I get the app issues. I think apps are pretty useful but if you make them required then then you risk the game being worthless in the future. What really has turned me off a game that I really want is the whole kickstarter. CB dont really need to do this as a kick starter it is just too much risk involved. Been burnt too many times recently with incresed costs, years of delaying games. It is not worth the risk at the moment for large boxed games so its a no from me which is a shame because it… Read more »
I hope it turns out to be a good game. Unfortunately they appear to be continuing to make the same mistake of not enough content. Especially if its at their usual premium price.
The way they roll the game out, the miniature design and now the app. To me as a CB fan its one big disappointment so far.
And it’s another ‘no’ from me…?
