Corvus Belli Give Painted Peek At Infinity Defiance Villains
October 14, 2019 by brennon
Corvus Belli has been ramping up the previews for the new Sci-Fi delver they've been working on, Infinity: Defiance. With that, we got a peek at some of the painted villains from the game that will be popping up.
The Combined Army is on the warpath now and it is up to a band of soldiers from different walks of life to try and stem the tide of aliens looking to launch an offensive on the galaxy. This means a whole new host of cool metal models as you can see here which will be hitting as part of the Kickstarter during Fall of this year.
We'd seen a lot of previews of the heroes for the game but it's nice to now be seeing the foes that we'll be facing along the way. As with everything from Corvus Belli it is incredibly detailed. I actually think I might prefer some of these aliens and villainous foes to the options for the heroes.
For example, this next set of villains for Defiance, the Speculo Killers, are some awesome looking additions to the mix and I could see a lot of people having fun painting them up.
Things obviously have to get big as well during your dungeon crawls and that's where this fellow comes in.
We've recently had Corvus Bellis in the studio talking about what they have planned for the future of Infinity and of course Defiance so watch this space as we're going to be getting stuck into a lot of detail about this new Kickstarter project very soon.
What do you make of the new villains we've seen previewed by Corvus Belli?

I think something just stole money out of my wallet 😀
Yeah, no new toys for next 3 months to save for this one…
Looks like another winner to me!
I’ve already set money a side for this one.
Can’t wait to see OTT’s ‘Let’s Play’ of this! ??
WOAH! Talk about taking Infinity in a whole new direction! I don’t think I”ve ever seen anything like this in the range, and it’s certainly a shock (albeit a good one) to see an explicitly alien threat in a world dominated by humans and genetically-spliced hybrids.
Well aliens aren’t new in Infinity, there is the Combined Army which the Shasvastii shown here are part of and then there are the Tohaa.
Must have. Do we have a date when this goes live yet?
They look awesome, really looking forward to Defiance.
Whelp. There goes the PPI rebate.
And incidentally, someone on FB pointed out the distinct similarity between the Nox Forward Observer coming with the Combined Army Paint Set and certain Turian sniper from a noted videogame series. I think I’ve finally worked out what scheme my Shas are getting painted in (all part of my goal to paint the noble forces of the EI as heroically as they deserve 😉 )
Awesome miniatures, can’t wait for the KS
Can’t wait for this.
I really like these. I realize that Infinity has the one faction which are alien but it has always felt human vs human in general. I like my aliens. Will I be able to play as the aliens (i.e. villains. Are they really the villains. I mean it is humanity that is invading their territory.)?
The models look fantastic. I’ve not picked up anything from Corvus Bellis but I just might pick this up.
Yes you will be able to play as the aliens. The aliens shown here are part of the Combined Army, one of two alien factions that exists in Infinity.
And it is the Combined Army which is invading the Human Sphere, in Defiance you are playing as band of heroes that is boarding a Combine Army ship.
If you want to get a start with a CA Shaasvasti sectorial force in Infinity then look to get the Operation Wildfire set. These Defiance models will be usable in Infinity and vice-versa.
As far as I can tell these Villains will be driven by AI decks in Defiance, but I’m sure someone will adapt the game to play the other way around.
I play Combined Army Onyx as I wasn’t into the old Shaasvasti aesthetic… However the Operation wildfire models and these Defiance models can be combined in both games. -£-£-£-£…
Brilliant figures the aliens look a good fraction to collect.
Very nice miniatures.
Well Infinity miniatures are always great.
The sculpts look great, the paint work is amazing… but does nobody ever ask about the bases?
Where do they come from, who made them… how do I replicate them?
