Take On A Cooperative Adventure In FFG’s Heroes Of Terrinoth

Since parting ways with Games Workshop, Fantasy Flight Games has doubled down on the world of Terrinoth as their prime Fantasy setting. Heroes Of Terrinoth is one such game from that setting which takes the mechanics of Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game and instead drops you into their own world.
The mechanics of Heroes Of Terrinoth look similar to the Warhammer Quest game where you will undertake timed and dangerous quests (seriously, the quests were really hard!) as you battle monsters, villains and minions.
The big twist is that you only have access to a key set of skills which all exhaust UNTIL you've found a moment to rest, so you're going to have to plan out who is doing what each turn and working through the puzzle in order to beat the game.
Each character has an Attack, Rest, Explore and Aid card which all give different benefits to those around you or strike down your foes. You will need to temper your team's fury however as if all of you attack one round, no-one is doing that till they rest again and the enemy might get the drop on you!
The quests as you'll see above get more and more dangerous as you go on and the trailing narrative takes you on different paths between the quests. You might find that a particular villain pops up again in one of your later quests if they get away!
The game was challenging but awesome when it still had the Warhammer Quest title, and I'm sure it will be just as good in this version. If you want a tough cooperative dungeon crawler this is for you.
What do you think?

FFG are one of my favourite game companies so its got to be worth a look 🙂
I bought Warhammer Quest from FFG and was a bit annoyed when it got dropped due to the deal with GW ending.
It would be good if the new game was fully compatible with Warhammer Quest.
They might not be allowed to tell you if it is for licensing reasons, but it would be interesting to see a list of the updates so you could homebrew the two.
A friend I used to play with before he moved out of state has everything Warhammer Quest. We played his copy all the time at the time. I am excited but I want to see a review and playthrough from a reviewer who also played Warhammer Quest. On my list right now but we shall see.
Now if FFG will give us Descent 2.0 owners some love that would be great!!!
I have the original Warhammer themed version of this game, and it’s quite enjoyable, so looking forward to this one, and hopefully it’s getting more expansions 🙂
