Conan Kickstarter Embraces A New Shadowy Adventure
February 25, 2020 by brennon
Monolith Edition has been diving deeper into the Add-Ons and Stretch Goals for their Conan: The Conqueror Kickstarter project. With the core game and new adventure mode goodies already funded, they are looking towards new adventures for the iconic barbarian and his comrades.
The first thing we're going to focus on for this particular peek at the project is The Shadow Kingdom Add-On. This new expansion to the game throws Conan in against a new foe as he has to deal with a new villainous overlord and the schemes of the Serpent-Men who you can see sculpted up below.
There are a few more interesting options in the mix here yet to be shown but I'm glad that this comes with not only the two new adventure mode scenarios but also another solo/cooperative scenario as well. As we mentioned in The Weekender for this week where we took a closer look at the Kickstarter, I'm glad that the team at Monolith listened to the community and are helping to grow the Conan game which is pretty well-loved.
As well as these smaller Serpent-Men making an appearance, there is also a new stretch goal they are getting unlocked, the mighty Hydra. You might be familiar with the design of this particular creature but it's nice to see that this many-headed foe has come to challenge Conan.
There is much more to get involved with as part of the Kickstarter with loads of options for those who already own the previous Conan core game and those who want to dive in for the first time. After plenty of tweaks and changes thanks to feedback and such, the game plays at a nice place and brings together some dynamic mechanics which really keep you invested in the action.
Make sure to check out the Kickstarter for more...

Is the project really funded though? Looks to me like they’ve bareley reached a third of their goal.
Right now for me it says 560.770€ of 150.000€ reached, so yes it is funded.
It funded in a very short space of time, minutes/hours I believe
The serpent men look great.
I really wanted to back this.
But limited pledges to get the 1st kickstarter material made sure that I wasnt going to be able too get that content. So for me it was a no go.
For what it’s worth, they have talked about there being another Kickstarter reprinting the older stuff so people can fill the holes in their collections.
I don’t know where abouts in the world you are but there are some retail pledges available in Europe. You can also pick copies up from online retailers. King Pledges are a bit harder to get
I suppose it will be a great game. Thank you for update.

Interesting website you link to there…
I seriously hope that they make some of the original Kickstarter add ons available. I didn’t back all in first time around because at the time the intention was to go to retail – which never really happened. Then when they did The Book of Set, they offered an All In pledge or just the book but didn’t make add-ons available despite the book containing scenarios that requires them.
I have managed to hoover up most of the add-ons but there’s two I have never been able to get a hold of despite having scenarios for them.
