Lucidity: Six-Sided Nightmares Coming To Retail Soon
March 1, 2018 by brennon
Lucidity: Six-Sided Nightmares is a press-your-luck game from Fox Tale Games which funded successfully on Kickstarter last year. Whilst the rewards for backers are going out now, there should also be a retail launch on the horizon sometime in April.
Here's a quick rundown of what the game is all about...
"Dice are drawn randomly from the bag over the course of the game and collected on your dreamer card. Every turn, you will have to be tactical about which dreams you roll, which you return, and which you manipulate, to beat the odds and escape from the nightmares. Or…become a Nightmare and hunt your friends, feeding on their dreams and winning the game by becoming the most powerful baddie remaining.
Push your luck to roll more dreams, or play it safe and keep control over your card. Without dreams, you cannot win. But without control, you risk becoming what you fear most. Unless that is your plan."
We've also included the video from The Rules Girl where she teaches you how to play in under four minutes.
Do you think that this game could be for you? Make sure to let us know if you backed the Kickstarter too as we'd be interested to hear how the game plays from you folks.

Meh! I would rather play Dice Throne. If you are a former MtG player and you also like KoT Dice Throne will be right up your ally. It plays 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. Season 2 is on KS now.
My issue with Lucidity: Six-Sided Nightmares is that it is solitaire with dice. While it is a more involved push your luck game, I am not sure that the complexity adds to the mechanic.
Sounds like a good fun game.
This doesn’t sound like a game I’d find interesting, but it looks beautiful! I wish I wanted to play it!
