Exclusive Lightseekers Kindred Card Reveal!
July 10, 2018 by xaerin
There once was a Cipid Spawner
That Lightseekers fans fawned over
All heroes discard
A number of cards
Equal to its Element number
The guys at Play Fusion have kindly given us a new card to reveal for the next wave of Lightseekers cards launching next month.
Let us introduce you to the Cipid Spawner. This is a soul element nature defend card with the Insectoid family symbol.
The family symbol is a new mechanic that we're starting to see in use as more Kindred cards are revealed. The symbols started appearing in the previous Mythical wave of cards but with Kindred we now know the names of the ten families and some cards will have new synergies and mechanics based on these symbols.
You can see from the art alone that this is a frenzied attack firing in all directions as all heroes discard a number of cards from the top of their deck equal to the number of Element icons on top of their discard pile (an Order icon counts as 1).
For most orders this is going to be a problem, but nature has three different combos that can return discarded cards back into play or back to the deck, as well as the Root Singer action card which can bring up to two action cards back into your hand. There may even be more interactions with the Insectoid family that we have yet to see.
As long as you make sure to play this after your opponents have played a big combo then they could be discarding as many as four cards while you only have to discard one, and as an action card you could have as many as three of these waiting to fire out card-discarding bug balls at your opponents!
In case you missed them click here to check out our Let's Play videos.
Kindred cards are releasing on the 7th of August so only one more month to wait before getting your hands on this guy.
