Design A Coat Of Arms With Prestige & Strategy In Blazon
January 10, 2022 by fcostin
Are you ready to step into the role of Herald? No I am not talking about being a glorified Town Crier, I am talking about stepping into a role which has been handpicked by a King in the Middle Ages.
Although there are many a duty provided to a Herald of the Middle Ages, there is one skill in particular that board gamers are perfect for. The Blazoning of Arms.
Blazon Board Game Trailer // 25th Century Games
25th Century Games are now on Kickstarter, recruiting players to take on the role of Herald, as players get the chance to design their own coat of arms. By utilising set collection, players will need to dominate their entitlement over their shield board, as they collect elements to create their Blazon.

However, decorating a coat of arms isn't a job for the local artist! It is for a person of noble hierarchy, who can determine the rights for the city. However there is more than one Herald, and they are competing next to you to become the next King of Arms. Players must climb the greasey pole and make their way through the ranks - accumulating prestige as they press forward. Utilising tincture and Device Cards to portray the backstory in your Heraldry. Although the job of a Middle Age Herald seems quite creative, there are many laws and rules that must be abode by.
Blazon has now been on Kickstarter since the first day of the year. With 9 days left on the clock and already fully funded - you can snag yourself one of the several pledges including the Deluxe Edition until the 19th January 2022.
Be warned, Heraldry is no occupation for the weak!
