CMON has been previewing some of the new games coming to the Zombicide world. Moving from the blood-covered streets of North America, your survivors are going to be going to Rio Z Janeiro to face down some very colourful zombies!
Rio Z Janeiro // Zombicide
This new expansion for Zombicide 2nd Edition is going to be available on 7th April and will feature a new set of survivors who bring their own brand of zombie slaughter to the tabletop. You'll then be facing off against some colourful zombies who have been caught in the middle of their festival season! A parade of zombies is going to be charging down the tight streets of Rio de Janeiro in search of brains!
Zombicide: White Death
As well as the new supplement for the core Zombicide series, there is also going to be another Kickstarter coming soon for those who like going Medieval. We got a look at some of the miniatures for Zombicide: White Death!

I'm not entirely sure about the aesthetic/vibe for this new adventure but it looks like it could well be a bit Rus inspired by their arms and armour. Apparently, you'll be heading to the lands of Wintergrad (so very Rus, right?) where there are hordes of these foes awaiting you.
Are you going to be diving in and picking up some of these new takes on Zombicide from CMON?

I think this is a clever move. With just a few special minis and the addition of board packs Zombicide could be visiting different countries and landscapes. Like the blood bowl stadium sets for specific teams or races you could introduce players to a jungle based game, a office complex, hospital, even on board a ship or a plane in flight. They have the White House set so why not the Vatican, A certain family theme park or Times Square. Add a set of minis for the scenarios with its own paint set then maybe expand via the books that… Read more »
Does anyone else feel like CMON are sort of becoming a one trick pony?
Not becoming… became… same old shite with a new plastic mould.
Given they’ve been doing variations on the same theme for over a decade now, I would say Yes. With the kicker being they still crowdfund everything they do, as though it’s some new untested product. Which pretty much torpedoes the lie about Kickstarter being anything but a glorified pre-order system (no matter how much KS insists it “is not a store.”)
Meh, I’d take reina de batteria (samba queens) in their live versions over then undead.
