It’s Clobbering Time With HINT’s Pounder Mech
November 15, 2017 by brennon
The team behind Human Interface: Nakamura Tower shared some of the work going into one of their new mechs. Here we have Pounder which looks like a terrifying mix of man and machine.
This model is now ready for production and it looks like it's going to be an utterly crazy addition to their Cyberpunk line-up. I keep telling myself that I need to pick up some of these models and have a go at them. As a big Cyberpunk fan, I need to embrace those neon colours and get into this world.
It's impressive to see them working on some more large pieces for the game as well as the regular characters meaning that you're getting a significantly expanded experience if you dived in on this game via Kickstarter or simply on the retail route.

They also wanted to show off some work by Angel Giraldez who did an awesome job on this studio model.
I'd say once again you have to doff your cap to Angel for his stunning work bringing these models to life. It makes me want to pick them up all the more!
What do you think of the HINT collection?

I ordered their main board game some time ago and paid for the expansion. They ended up only sending me the base game and ignored repeated emails asking them to send me the rest of my order. Beware.
that’s not cool. it’s a shame because the last KS looked pretty hot.
Angel doing what Angel does.
fantastic looking droids.
Fabulous stuff!
That Pounder is probably my least favourite of all the Be a Better Human models and it’s definitely not a patch on the Banshee Exoskeleton from the previous game. I’m probably still going to get one because it looks like it will be fun to play against. There was a couple of other items funded in the Kickstarter that I would really like to see though; a VTOL and an ED209 style drone.
@onlyonepinman the more I see the more I like the game. I did some research and heard the first edition rules were a little loose and unclear. i also heard the casts were variable in quality.
i’m sure it’s something they will have tidied up with the new KS but was wondering how you found it mate?
if anyone backed the new KS I would love to hear how the PVC miniatures are. looks like the new stuff is PVC only at retail.
i’m genuinely interested. the style and gameplay concepts are very cool.
The revised rules for Nakamura Tower are a vast improvement, which isn’t surprising considering the first edition were a bit of a car crash. So too were the Conan rules by Monolith and, like Monolith, Post Industrial games have just provided a printed version of rules 2.0 for free to all backers (mine is in the post as we speak). The rules as originally published were almost impossible to understand but the new ones are structured better and provide examples where you would expect them rather than hidden away in a section at the back of the book. You’re right… Read more »
@onlyonepinman thanks mate. just about as perfect a response as I could have hoped for.
At the risk of shamelessly plugging my own Facebook page there are some pictures of the Black Stone Commandos (including the awesome Banshee Exoskeleton) and Nakamura Security Staff. In my opinion these represent the best (Black Stone Commandos) and worst (Nakamura Security Staff) of the miniatures in the current range
