Check Out The Alternative Skin For Maximus In Aristeia!
November 23, 2017 by brennon
If you've been watching our Aristeia! content this week then you'll have seen a sneaky look at some of the alternative models (skins) coming out for some of the characters. Here, for example, is the awesome alternative skin for Maximus in his 'Thermopylae' attire.
The new skin is inspired by, as you might have already guessed, the Frank Miller graphic novel 300. Of course, being one of the PanOceania elite it makes sense on that front too.
Available in January next year the sculpt will come with an alternative art card for Maximus as well. Corvus Belli is trying to preserve the spirit of the game but also offer you something fun and different to stand out on the HexaDome field when the games begin.
He looks awesome and I can't wait to see what people do with the model. Whilst it would be tempting to simply paint him in the red and bronze of the Spartans I think he deserves some brighter blues thrown in there, much like with his traditional power armour and shield combination.
What do you think?

I think i’d get him on a base and throw him into games of Conan and MB:P as a Spartan Hero and Leonidas alternate sculpt 😀 .
Yup, great model with a lot of applications! 🙂
Might be interesting to file off the M’s and give him a more standard greek design for the shield with a more standard look as a greek hero .
great figure can the shield be turned to make Ws?
Zealot Miniatures Minotaurs!!! – Does any company do a good Labyrinth mat?
We need moar miniatures like that for Aisteia AND Infinity too!!
he’s a stunner isn’t he. in fact he’s so good he made me buy Aresteia.
we’re going to get see CB get their creative juices flowing with these reskins for the amazingly characterful Aresteia.
Alternative skin is a great idea. Not mandatory, but a nice addition for people who wants more (like me…).
I love the idea of alternative Skins like in some videogames!
Huuuge! fan of pewter metals! Thank you!
