Workhouse Games had a successful Kickstarter with The Awful Orphanage and they have now moved on to their Pledge Manager where you can still get in and help add to the project, as well as pick up the game for yourself. However, before we get into that, they had some neat miniature previews to show off!

Brunel - Awful Orphanage

The first of these previews is for Brunel here who rides around on a train which he has made of bits and bobs from around the Orphanage. I think this might be the perfect character for Lloyd to play when he sits down to give this a go.

Next up we've got an evil fellow from their expansion to the game which sees one of you playing as Mrs Prendergast herself. Here is Bill...

Bill - Awful Orphanage

You don't want him chasing you around the orphanage, especially with that hound at his heels, ready to pounce on unsuspecting escapees. These nasty villains can put conditions on your poor orphans and if they get too spooked then they'll end up dying!

Thankfully, the next character is able to help your spooked children. Here we have Rolo who looks totally harmless! He is a very nice chap indeed and will help get you out of trouble. He even has a little friend...

...who can soothe your ills and help you out too. I'm not entirely sure that I would want to hang around him for too long though.

Rolo (Rear) - Awful Orphanage

The miniatures for this game are looking superb and many of them will be available for you to snap up as part of the Pledge Manager deals. The team really did step up on the quality of these figures and it's nice to see them coming together with this added level of detail.

Pledge Manager Details

So, as I mentioned above, the Pledge Manager is indeed open where you can currently get your hands on two different options. The first is the Unruly Orphan Pledge.

The second of these gives you access to a few more bits and bobs, namely the book. So, if you'd like to check out more work from this weird world then the Artistic Orphan Pledge is for you.

A special note to those of you who backed on Kickstarter. The cut-off date for your payments is this Saturday so you need to make sure that you've got everything sorted otherwise you might miss out!

Did you get in on The Awful Orphanage?
