Character Profiles Pop Up For Conan Hyborian Quests
January 6, 2015 by brennon
Monolith have put together some neat character profiles for some of the heroes that you'll be using in your games of Conan: Hyborian Quest that will be hitting Kickstarter on the 12th of January 2015 - not long to go!
As you can see the amount of work that's gone into creating accurate representations of these characters is immense. Pretty much everything that you could pick up on has been developed through the artwork and translated into miniature form. They weren't kidding then they said they were going to make this the most accurate Conan game out there.
This also shows off some of the extra heroes that Conan will be able to take with him like Zelata. I know it's not really in keeping with what they really want to do but it would be kind of funny to see them make an extra Phoenix companion for Conan - Needle - based on the cartoon I loved as a kid (and still do now).
I even added the introduction above for those who might have forgot!
What do you think of these heroes?
Those look really nice.
I would like to second the vote for Needle… I was not a ‘strictly’ a kid when that cartoon came out…
Shevatas looks fine but not quite as lithe and narrow faces as he is described in the text
Zelata doesn’t feel quit right. The feet seem large and not placed correctly
That said the models look well done and pretty faithful to the artwork
Just on the feet appearing large- i did read on another forum that some features on the masters are sculpted that way, because they know that there is an amount of shrinkage when the production models are produced, especially in some areas such as the feet, so the master models over compensate for shrinkage a little. I didn’t notice it myself, but if these are the masters, perhaps that is why.
