Snag The Captain Silver Expansion For Treasure Island Soon
February 8, 2021 by brennon
Treasure Island from Marc Paquien and published by Matagot is a pretty unique board game of piratical bluffing and puzzling which is getting an expansion soon, Captain Silver - Revenge Island.
Treasure Island - Matagot
One player takes on the role of Long John Silver who is trying to mislead the others at the tabletop as to where his treasure is located. Throughout the game, you'll have the players scrawling and doodling on the wipe-clean board with their markers trying to work out where the dastardly pirate has stashed his loot!
Treasure Island Gameplay // Matagot
It seems to be like a unique board gaming experience is one which very much works as one that you might enjoy at a convention or board game cafe. One versus many experiences are not often something I enjoy in board games but I like it when they've given a fun twist like this. It's why I also like Letters From Whitechapel and games of its ilk where it becomes a battle of wits!
Treasure Island - Shut Up & Sit Down Review
So, when the puzzles of the original Treasure Island have been solved then maybe you'd like to snap up Captain Silver - Revenge Island which adds more to the experience.
Treasure Island: Captain Silver - Revenge Island // Matagot
This new expansion has you heading to Revenge Island where Captain Silver has found himself in jail. He's now seeking to escape jail and you'll have to work together to solve his puzzles and overcome his tricks before he scarpers off the island. Additional modules include corrupt soldiers, worrying weather and a ghost twin!
As well as including the new map for Revenge Island, you'll also get access to a reinterpretation of the original map for you to explore. Make sure to take a peek at this one if you like event-style board games at your get-togethers.
