Captain Albrecht Takes Command In Rum & Bones Preview!
August 27, 2014 by brennon
Rum & Bones are beginning to show off the miniatures for their board game and it all starts with the thrice damned Captain Albrecht who you can check out below!
Now that is one cool looking miniature and once again I have thoughts of Guybrush Threepwood and Monkey Island! I think the models are going to end up looking ace for the game and it will be cool to see what the other pieces of background are. This guy is quite some pirate if the tales are to be believed!
Are you excited to see the return of Rum & Bones?

Shame the finished model didn’t have the pipe drawn in the artwork.
loving the look of these minis 🙂 seen some of the other minis already, and they look great 🙂 just as good as the old “Ron” & Bones minis, it’s good they’ve kept the character of those sculpts 😉 … and the new rules look like great fun too 🙂 really cool to make it so people are invading each others pirate ships 😀 seems very fast and chaotic, with lots of random pirates spawning as you try to cross the planks 🙂 … and even the Kraken popping up too 😉 ha ha seems like kind of an area… Read more »
Bought a few of these minis on a whim a few years ago as an alternative to Games Workshop models that had got me hooked on miniature painting.
I was sad to see the entire range disappear without mention by the parent company but it’s great to see them making a comeback! 🙂
If you like the look of this and get the chance to pick any of the originals up, do so, they’re marvellous and are typical of Spanish miniatures, very high quality and wonderfully detailed. (definitely on par with Tercio Creativo/Corvus Belli)
I should add, you’d be looking for Tales of War’s ‘Ron & Bones’.
yeah I’ve got dome of the Ron & Bones minis too 😉
they’re really classy looking minis 😀
… I think the “Ron” part is a famous spanish rum brand or something 😛 ha ha
You’re definitely on the right track, ‘ron’ is Spanish for rum ;P
From the looks of things he has the Bones part down in spades 😛
Great sculpts, full of character. It’s a shame coolmini is going to deliver a subpar product a year or so late as usual… Oh well, I’ve got some of the originals.
