USAopoly Is Bringing Zelda To The Table In Collector’s Edition Of CLUE
May 18, 2017 by deltagamegirl22
I swear, when it comes to CLUE and Monopoly, I could have a dozen copies of them - especially when they're collector's editions.
USAopoly just announced that they're bringing Zelda to the tabletop in their collector's edition of CLUE: The Legend of Zelda.
The Dark Lord Ganondorf has stolen the Triforce and is threatening Hyrule with his evil plans to rule the world!
In order to fulfil the prophecy and defeat Ganondorf, you must find out WHO possesses the power to defeat Ganondorf, WHAT item is required to defeat him, and WHERE he has established his hidden lair.
I love the look of the board and the "weapon" pieces, and honestly the only thing I wish they would've done more with is the characters.
They essentially come as standees, and I really would've loved to see miniatures there- or even Meeples. But anyway, it's Zelda, and with the Breath of the Wild being so hot right now, I'm sure this game will be too.
Look for this game in the very near future and get ready to play some CLUE.
What do you think of this Collector's Edition of CLUE?

I so want an original board game with miniatures from this license. Not too into clue myself but it’s still nice to see
This really makes me think that they just put The Legend of Zelda license to Clue for quick buck. Not that this unusual mind you since we have seen those before like all Monopolies that have some well known license.
I thought the same as I saw it nad I thought how woudl they do it, because it would be strange to have the solution to Ganondorf’s murder be Link in the library with the candlestick.
I think it’s a nice twist but I dislike it, we all know to stop Ganondorf you normaly need the Master Sword and the Silver/Light Arrows as well as the wielder of the Triforce of Courage and sometimes the wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom not some Goron with a hockshot.
Well, remember the silver arrows in Link to the Past? You couldn’t damage Ganon without those.
But the Hookshot is never the weapon that you need to defeat Ganon.
That’s what I said.
And I’m also with mae about wanting a baordgame with minis in the ZElda setting.
Question for Auntie Dawn @deltagamegirl22 does she know if the USAopoly licence allows for this to be distributed in the UK/Europe? Had to pull some right shenanigans in the past with other IP from this Company due to territory based licence restrictions (a la Harry Potter) cost me an arm and a leg for shipping!
Oh no! I don’t know, but I’ll see if someone does.
You ace!
My first thought:
It was Ganon with the triforce in the dark world.
But I suppose that the players sorting out the prophesy works a lot better than normal Clue (I never could figure out why no one could examine Mr. Body’s body for evidence. I mean, you should be able to at least determine where he died, and probably see if his head was caved in or if he was shot).
could be a good xmas prezzy.
