Brain Games Bring Flickin’ Good Iron Forest To Kickstarter

Brain Games, the creators of the awesomely cool Ice Cool, are now back on Kickstarter with another dexterity-based board game. Get flicking with Iron Forest which is fundraising right now...
Iron Forest Kickstarter // Brain Games
Iron Forest is a flicking game that works with two-to-four players who split into teams. You can either take on the role of the Animal Clans or the Iron Force. Each scenario in the game offers up asymmetrical objectives that each side is trying to complete in different areas of the board. This could be destroying opposing mecha, collecting objects and more.

During a turn, players will draw cards from an activation deck then activate that particular mecha by flicking it around the current level or launching it via the use of an impressive catapult. Who wouldn't want to play with a catapult?

Players will also get access to different power-up cards which can be used to gift you unique abilities which could turn the tide in your favour. Games have been taken to the next level rather literally here with the much-expanded board! It's certainly looking a bit more involved than Ice Cool. You can check out the draft rules HERE.
I really like that they have taken the core of Ice Cool and turned it into something a bit more in-depth. It's still got the basic "thrill" of Ice Cool when flicking your game components around but then takes things up a notch. This seems like the perfect game to take to a convention or to play with younger gamers.
Are you interested in giving Iron Forest a go?
