My Little Scythe Board Game Is On The Way From Stonemaier Games
May 3, 2018 by brennon
The game, My Little Scythe, is a father, daughter project from Hoby and Vienna Chou who wanted to create a family-friendly version of the Scythe game so they could include her in their tabletop antics. The game was then picked up by Stonemaier Games and turned into this...
You play as animal adventurers who are out exploring the world of Pomme...
"In an effort to be the first to earn four trophies from eight possible categories, players take turns choosing to Move, Seek, or Make. These actions will allow players to increase their friendship and pies, power up their actions, complete quests, learn magic spells, deliver gems and apples to Castle Everfree, and perhaps even engage in a pie fight."
The game uses some of the mechanics from the big tabletop game, Scythe, but with a cutdown set of rules which make it more suited to kids.
It was previously a Print & Play Game, which actually won an award from Board Game Geek in 2017. This looks like an awesome idea and I love that the guys and gals at Stonemair Games were willing to work with these fans to make something superb like this.
Fantastic stuff!

If it is anything like Scythe it will be a great way to bore kids to tears.
My kids love Scythe (10 and 6) and the expansions. It’s generally the game they want to get out when we decide it’s board game time, so might have to take a look at this.
The emphasis being that this is family friendly/kid friendly and indeed created with a kid being part of the design process…so I’d imagine it will be fine.
So cute!
