Blood Bowl II Gets A Teaser Trailer From Cyanide
June 7, 2013 by brennon
Cyanide are pushing on with Blood Bowl II, a follow up their Blood Bowl video game that has been through a number of different iterations now. Check out the trailer above...
You can also see the new title and artwork for the game here which is looking pretty much the same as it did first time around. Hopefully the gameplay has been tightened and it plays a bit more like the board game without so many glitches.
Maybe they will update the Blitz mode of play too allowing for a more real-time take on Blood Bowl over the I-Go-You-Go format we normally have.
What do you think?

Pointless trailer…unless you believe any advertising is good advertising.
That said, I enjoyed Blood Bowl Legendary Edition and I would be interested to see how BB2 turns out.
More animations! i want to see my Troll smack and critically injure their opponent several ways! Kick Halflings off the pitch, punch holes in Mummy’s, literally pound elves flat, wring out the rats, sit on the dwarves, pile-drive ogres, chow down on gobbo’s, and pull the were wolf’s tail!
I played the first one to death, but I hope they fix the dice rolling randomness for this one as I lost count of the number of times I’d use a reroll on 3 skulls only to get 3 more skulls. It wouldn’t be so bad but it got to the point where I could predict the outcome of a roll based on how important it was a good 40% of the time, which induced enough rage to stop me playing altogether.
That wasn’t with a player who had the Loner skill by any chance? You have to roll a separate 4+ in order to then use the team re-roll with this skill and the players who have it are usually throwing 3 die blocks so it can sometimes seem like its bugged.
“Maybe they will update the Blitz mode of play too allowing for a more real-time take on Blood Bowl over the I-Go-You-Go format we normally have.” Wait. You mean to tell me the video game was turn-based? I haven’t played it, but they made it turn based? That makes no sense to me at all. Play the tabletop game. The whole appeal of the interactive format would be to turn this into a real-time game, like most sports video games. “Hopefully the gameplay has been tightened and it plays a bit more like the board game without so many glitches.”… Read more »
Yeah the Cyanide game was basically the board game on computer. They had a ‘Blitz’ style mode that was more free form but it was a bit naff.
I’m sure Blood Bowl games are awesome ( both videogames and tabletop ) but i’ll be waiting for the Dreadball videogame and i hope Cyanide makes it!
The original was a great game and i’ll probably by this one too. But I really hope we don’t have to buy a completely new game every time they add a team like we had to with the first.
Wouldn’t put it past them.
Oh please no, not that scenario again, for the love of that chap whose mum mysteriously got knocked up but no one knew how and had 3 old guys on camels giving her gifts because they saw a big star which obviously meant the messiah was about to… wait…what was I talking about again?
