Sometimes it is hard to keep a good idea down, as is the case with a project that has returned to Kickstarter for its second go around.

Blackout: Journey Into Darkness a dungeon crawler-ish game from Nevermore Toys, that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where the survivors have banded together to fight the Brood, an nasty array of monsters, diseased humans and animals.

The four heroes are called the Outlanders and consist of an Engineer, Recon, Slayer, and Tracker; with these heroes you explore the Northern Wastes and try to eliminate this plague that has fallen upon the human race. This game can be played solo or up to 5 players, with one player as the Brood.

As the players explore the Northern Wastes, they will reveal more unknown areas to explore by drawing the appropriate Map Card. The rules even help you create your own adventures once you have completed those in the Mission Log.

As with any good post-apocalyptic game the Outlanders will have to search for items of survival and you will have to put your wits and strength against the evil and secretative Harbinger and his minions.

Take a look at this campaign and see if it is your kind of game, we love dungeon crawlers here and are always on the lookout for something new and exciting. Do you know what is exciting right now? Blackout: Journey Into Darkness has nearly doubled its funding goal and still has 30 days left!

Are you a fan of the post-apocalyptic genre?
