Blacklist Games’ Dire Alliance Horror Kickstarter Now Live!
October 27, 2020 by brennon
Blacklist Games are now live on Kickstarter with their new project for not only their Dire Alliance board game but also a range of 28mm miniatures drawing on Horror tropes!
Check Out The Dire Alliance Horror Kickstarter
We talked about the Kickstarter and what it offers HERE earlier in the week and we'll take a peek at what the folks at Blacklist Games are offering to those who back the project right now. We start with the way that this fundraiser has been split up and indeed how it can be combined.
Dire Alliance Game & Miniatures // Blacklist Games
On the one hand, you have the Dire Alliance game subtitled Horror which is a one-to-four player board game experience which was crafted by David Thompson, Trevor Benjamin, Adam Sadler and Brady Sadler. The game can be played in either Battle Mode where two players go up against each other with their own faction of heroes and minions or in Raid Mode where one-to-four players work cooperatively against an AI-controlled opponent and their minions before they can complete their assigned goals.
Dire Alliance Board Game Pledge
This all comes together as part of this pledge here which gets you the core game of Dire Alliance: Horror with the boards, cards tokens and more that you need to play the game.

The focus behind the game is the use of deck-building mechanics as you build up your crew and fight to take down your foes. If you're interested in delving in and learning more about the game then you can download the Dire Alliance Rulebook and see what it's all about!
As well as being able to just watch some videos and read the rulebook, you can also check out a demo version of the game through Tabletop Simulator in both its Battle and Raid mode. If this game already has you interested then you have plenty of ways to learn more about it.
Horror Series 1 Pledge
As well as picking up the game pledge above you can also snap up the miniatures in a set called Horror Series 1. These miniatures are available separately from the board game so you can pick these up for your skirmish games, roleplaying games and more.

As you can see, there are a lot of different miniatures in this set which allows you to dive in and get started with something spooky on the tabletop. You get a bunch of the minions and loads of awesome characters who can lead the way during your adventures on the tabletop.
In a neat spin on things, you can also use these Horror Series miniatures in your games of Dire Alliance. You can move your tokens and such aside and instead use these miniatures to play out the action of the game on the tabletop.

All of this is available right now on Kickstarter and if you're interested in exploring more about the Dire Alliance world and the miniatures then you can watch out for an interview with Blacklist Games which will be on the site soon!
Are you tempted to dive in and check out this campaign?

The heroes look a bit like they’ve taken some well known characters and put them in a blender 😉
I’ve pledged for the day one bonus, but only interested in the minis.
Not overly inspired by what you get at present, but their fantasy ks went to 201 minis in the end which will make much better value for money. Guess I’ll see what the deal is in 3 weeks.

Thinking of getting the minis for an upcomming spooky campaign i’m planning for my D&D group, i’ll have to check up the vid on the actual game itself since i’m not a huge fan of deckbuilding game myself…
the figures are looking fantastic.
Cool you can get proxy or markers from malifaux or use them for the game… i love the vessel and bearers
Even for you campaing of ravenloft
Cancelled my pledge for this. Their fantasy ks was a big success and I will get a lot of miniatures (soon I hope), but the Dire Alliance has stagnated… pledges been stuck at $237K for the last week.
And I may need the money for Bardsung tonight.
