The Black Plague Comes to Zombicide With Their New Kickstarter
June 9, 2015 by stvitusdancern
CoolMiniOrNot's latest edition to their highly popular game Zombicide, The Black Plague has hit Kickstarter and funded in less than twenty minutes.
The setting for this edition of the game takes you back to the dark ages and the time of the plagues, this time the plague not only kills people it turns them into zombies for your heroes to cleave back to the ever after. So there is all the experience and equipment gaining one's character can achieve throughout the game, but just remember the better the heroes get the more zombies they will face (you weren't expecting a walk through the park, where you?)
If that is not enough to get you to pledge, they have added on an expansion pack called Zombicide: Wulfsburg and this time you are facing werewolves and yes they are zombies too; a double whammy! With this expansion you can have up to 10 people playing at once, can you imagine that big of a game? In typical fashion, the game will come with beautiful artwork not only in the playing pieces but also in the packaging.
It looks like this too will be a runaway success as it not only funded, but has exceeded all of the stretch goals posted.
Are you a fan of Zombicide?

Ah crap, not more Zombicide, gonna have to sell a kidney now. Not that I’d get enough for one to get onto that kickstarter.
and it’s already passed the 1mill mark!
Just go in for $1 – you should still get access to the pledge manager later on 🙂
May do, was thinking I would pass then saw the Thrudd survivor along with the Black Current …. damn my weakness
In for a dollar, will upgrade on the pledge manager – been looking for a while and Thrudd, David Bowie’s goblin king and good and evil ‘not’ Ash have swung it
Is Zombicide any good?
Yes
I’m probably one of the few gamers who thinks Zombicide is kinda boring, and repetitive once you played a couple of scenarios. That said, co-op games in not my cup of tea.
But it seems that most people enjoy Zombicide very much.
Not played @willy2fly but have only heard good things on the whole, only one negative was someone saying it wasn’t as good as last night on earth but they are a big fan of that game
Depends on your beer to pretzel ratio.
Thanks for the replies folks, with a special shout out to Redben for his detailed insight into the game.
Word
Yes it is.
Seriously – stop it now with all the sexy Kickstarter stuff – you’re f****** bankrupting me!
But for 70 odd quid that well over 100 minis plus all the trimmings.
And it all looks sooooo good.
SIGH. Ok, I’m sold.
Looks like this is gonna surpass even Conan on KS if it keeps going the way it has been.
Zombicide’s been on my radar for a few years now and one that I’ve added to several wishlists but never actually got around to buying. This looks like the best one yet and the KS exclusive stuff matched with the sheer amount of minis you get will probably force my hand. I’ll keep an eye on it and before the Ks endS I’ll have a sit-down with my bank balance and see what we can work out.
What scale are the minis? All the other zombie side games are approx 20mm iirc. Can’t justify a new scale for a co op game.
My error, previous zombiecide miniatures are LARGER then 28mm.
I resisted … until the brought out David Bowie as the Goblin King …
and scalewise I’d say they can go well with 32mm miniatures (which most of the figures I have are).
