Bethesda Kicks Off E3 With DOOM, Fallout 4 & More
June 15, 2015 by brennon
Bethesda have kicked off E3 this week with a fantastic conference where they showed off DOOM, Fallout 4 and more games like Elder Scrolls Online and Dishonoured 2. You can watch the whole conference above but here are some of the highlights...
DOOM
The first big game is DOOM from them which sees you back on a Mars facility taking out demons in Hell and on the station. The gameplay looks fantastic and a real call back to the original games. Even DOOM 3 is worth a shout if you fancy getting stuck back into the world...
Fantasy Flight Games also came out with an awesome board game which is well loved but very hard to find nowadays. If you have it why not crack it out! I think this game is ripe for a new tabletop experience and hopefully we might even see FFG come back together with iD to make something special.
I might have to see if I can find someone with the game just so I can look at all the pretty hellish miniatures.
Fallout 4
Of course the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Fallout 4 was also a HUGE thing for them at the conference and as well as showing off some superb gameplay they also announced some exciting peripheral products too.
Bethesda have gone out of their way to really enhance your experience of Fallout with a real awesome Pipboy that comes with an edition of the game. This works with your smartphone and an app to give you something to use while you're playing the game, tweaking your stats and the like.
They also came out with Fallout Shelter which is a management style game allowing you to be the controller of one of the famous Vaults and look after it's people, growing it into a bustling hive of activity. It's also free so go check it out.
Were you wowed by Bethesda?

OMG the Pipboy!
Well, I’m buying DOOM and that’s for sure!
Yup, looking good and old school .. would be cool to get the old boardgame out again and play it with a full marine group.
There should be a warning on this video that you might need to change outfit due to nerdgasm! I’m totally giving them all the money they want for that pipboy!
Ok that hell level is everything i wanted a new doom game to be. Made me feel like an excited kid again. Now, if they could use that engine to do a remake of the original Quake and magnify the lovecraftian horror elements in it with that quality I may have to get back into videogames again.
