Build The Best Pyramid In Synapses’ New Board Game

Synapses Games have been previewing a colourful new tile-placement board game coming out later this year. With the great Pharaoh Mino passing on, his son has instructed two-to-four players to sit down and build a fantastic pyramid encrusted with jewels, a Pyramido!

In this tile-placement game, you will be choosing from a market of dominoes set out before you that can be used to construct the most impressive pyramid. To get the most points, players will want to match jewel icons on dominoes and use markers of the same colour to trigger scoring areas.

Where and when you place your pieces is going to impact the subsequent stages of construction meaning that the game is quite the puzzle as you need to sit and plan ahead! What you do early in the game is going to have an impact on what and where you can score later on.

I really like these small brain teaser-style board games and Pyramido seems to get that across. Essentially it's about getting the most points for opportunities that arise but with careful planning ahead you could get some seriously big scores!

With a playtime of around forty-five minutes, this seems like it could be a good game to check out at a convention and then perhaps drop into your collection to play in between big bouts on a massive board game.
