Battle The Arena Or Explore Campaigns In Heroes Of The Shire

Heroes of the Shire from Senior Games is now on Kickstarter, and no - this is not a game of Hobbit-themed glory. The game focuses on several different modes within the fantasy genre, looking at both a cooperative experience and a fiercely competitive area - all tied up with an incredibly unique combat system.

Players will enter Heroes of the Shire for two different reasons - both of which result in some serious hack and slash. Provided both a Scenario Mode and an Arena Mode. Players can choose to embark on a whirlwind story of adventure across snow, rain and fire against foes that inhabit the land. Or take their skills to the arena in a free-for-all or team battle experience.

When I say combat, I do not just mean melee damage. As Heroes of the Shire is set in a fantastical universe - players must manage spells and abilities to match their chosen character. Offering combos mixing over 800 spells and abilities to throw in the direction of foes. Given the 20 different characters to immerse yourself in, along with 12 different bosses to boot - each playthrough of the game will prove to be different.

Scenario mode places players into a cooperative experience (for all but one anyway!). As players will adventure through tiles across blizzard, forestry, molten lava and many more to take down the evil threat lurking. Whilst several players undergo the adventures provided in each scenario, one player will be taking control of the evil that lurks within the lands.

If players are looking to head to the arena, however - they will face new challenges towards their opponents and the skills they have harnessed in their scenario. As players can train and fight to win with their chosen character, learning combos and magical opportunities that each character harnesses.

The Heroes of the Shire Kickstarter campaign went live today, with 29 days left to go on the clock and almost funded.
